About
Kyle Sharp is a Live / Recording drummer and tutor based in Glasgow. He has toured across the UK & Europe, recorded for a multitude of artists, and is a Scottish music educator, both privately and at secondary school level.
Through his early teenage years, Kyle was involved in the UK drum industry, working on the Scottish Drum Festival alongside brands such as Meinl, Evans / Promark, and some of the world's top players such as Benny Greb, Richard Spaven, Kaz Rodriguez etc. This led him to teach, both privately and within secondary schools and most notably, led him onto session music which now sees him involved with original music currently coming out of Scotland, the UK, and Europe.
Kyle currently works with a variety of artists, both signed and un-signed. At present he's a member of Vanives, where last year their debut album ‘Thanks’, funded by Creative Scotland was released on Vinyl and all major streaming platforms. He also plays Session Drums / Vocals for artists such as Becky Sikasa, Be Charlotte, Fatherson, The Vegan Leather, and The Two Metre Man. Working with these artists has seen him play national and international shows, as well as TV, and Radio performances. This includes International BBC TV Performances on the BBC Music Scottish Act of the Year Final, TRNSMT, Belladrum, The Great Escape, Latitude Festival, C/O Pop Festival, The Glenfiddich Experiment, Edge Fest, Otherlands, Party at the Palace, as well as multiple live sessions on BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Introducing.
