Live Experience

Through his early teenage years, Kyle was involved in the UK drum industry, working on the Scottish Drum Festival alongside brands such as Meinl, Evans / Promark, and some of the world's top players such as Benny Greb, Richard Spaven, Kaz Rodriguez etc. This led him to teach, both privately and within secondary schools and most notably, led him onto session music which now sees him involved with original music currently coming out of Scotland, the UK, and Europe.

Kyle currently works with a variety of artists, both signed and un-signed. At present he's a member of Vanives, where last year their debut album ‘Thanks’, funded by Creative Scotland was released on Vinyl and all major streaming platforms. He also plays Session Drums / Vocals for artists such as Becky Sikasa, Be Charlotte, Fatherson, The Vegan Leather, and The Two Metre Man. Working with these artists has seen him play national and international shows, as well as TV, and Radio performances. This includes International BBC TV Performances on the BBC Music Scottish Act of the Year FinalTRNSMT, Belladrum, The Great Escape, Latitude Festival, C/O Pop Festival, The Glenfiddich Experiment, Edge Fest, Otherlands, Party at the Palace, as well as multiple live sessions on BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Introducing. His live work also extends to his involvement within the Scottish wedding and corporate industry. Currently he plays multiple events weekly totalling in excess of 70 events + / year with a variety of different bands and agencies. (For more live experience info, SEE MORE). Remote Studio

Kyle has recorded with various artists and producers in studios across Scotland, including Gloworm, Chem 19, 7 West Studios, Pauls Halls, Lofi etc, and he's always open to record on new projects or music. Kyle also records remotely from his studio in Glasgow's East End. This approach suits the needs and wants of upcoming artists (often with budget or time restraints), allowing the work to be done at a pace that suits the music and artist best. Kyle records for multiple of varying genres, and is always excited and open to work on new projects. (For more information on Approach / Equipment / Rates / Availability. SEE MORE).

Kyle has a wealth of teaching knowledge and experience accumulated over the last decade, originally honing his skills teaching at Scottish drum tuition centre dD Drums. During his time there he taught 35+ private students weekly, both individually and in group classes. Currently, Kyle teaches his private students independently, whilst also teaching within the Scottish SQA Secondary School system as a drum instructor in the Falkirk Council region. Privately he teaches between his studio in Glasgow's East End, at student's homes, and online through Zoom / Teams for those who need this approach.
