About
Kyle has been performing live for over 12 years and It's at the heart of what he does. He current works with artists, both signed and un-signed. At present he's a member of Vanives, where last year their debut album ‘Thanks’, funded by Creative Scotland was released on Vinyl and all major streaming platforms. Kyle also plays Session Drums / Vocals for artists such as Becky Sikasa, Be Charlotte, Fatherson, The Vegan Leather, and The Two Metre Man. Working with these artists has seen him play national and international shows, as well as TV, and Radio performances. This includes International BBC TV Performances on the BBC Music Scottish Act of the Year Final, TRNSMT, Belladrum, The Great Escape, Latitude Festival, C/O Pop Festival, The Glenfiddich Experiment, Edge Fest, Otherlands, Party at the Palace, as well as multiple live sessions on BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Introducing. His live work also extends to his involvement within the Scottish wedding and corporate industry. Here he plays multiple events weekly totalling in excess of 70 events + / year with a variety of different bands and agencies. Throughout his career his live experience has extended into theatre pit work, as well as big band show work. Some examples include 'Winter Wonderland Christmas Cabaret' at the prestigious Prestonfield House, 'Class Act' by The Traverse Theatre, Singforth Choir, and Am Dram productions of 'Avenue Q', 'Camp Rock' and 'Hairspray'. Original Music
Original music is at the core of his career. Currently he performs with Vanives, Becky Sikasa, Be Charlotte, The Vegan Leather and The Two Meter Man. Kyle is also always available for session work with artists across any genre. Most recently he has played drums for Scottish rock band Fatherson's show at Brewdog's Extraordinary General Mayhem Festival. His responsibilities for these artists range from drums only, to drums / percussion, backing vocals, and playback duties.
Wedding + Corporate
Kyle is a regular fixture in the Scottish wedding and corporate scene performing around 70+ shows per year. Currently Kyle drums for Wireless Glasgow and Bandeoke Scotland under the Hireaband agency. He also regularly deps for various other wedding and corporate bands across Scotland. This has included Velvet Noir (Coast Entertainment), The Rox (Coast Entertainment), Highway (Coast Entertainment), The Rollingdrones (Hireaband), Chart Society (Hireaband), MC4, and many more. Performing with these different bands has allowed him to learn a repertoire of well over 200 songs, making it easy to fill in for bands.
Theatre Pit + Show Work
Kyle has performed pit work many times over his career and is something he's always keen to be involved in. He can facilitate shows with rehearsals as well as low rehearsal 'reading shows' having a grade 8 understanding of music theory. Shows he's performed in include 'Winter Wonderland Christmas Cabaret' at Prestonfield House, Hairspray, Avenue Q, Camp Rock, Choir work with various council groups, and 'Class Act' with The Traverse Theatre.
